Mexican officials have confirmed a gun battle near a busy supermarket in Reynosa.
It all took place near a Soriana supermarket at the corner of Alvaro Obregon and Morelos Boulevards around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Reynosa residents first reported explosions and gunfire on Twitter.
An "incident involving risk" at the same location was quickly confirmed by city officials on their Twitter account.
Authorities gave the “all clear” message at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday.
No further details but the case remains under investigation.
