Two residents from Mission are among four people jailed in Chicago after authorities found more than one and a half tons of marijuana hidden in a shipment of grapefruit.

Illinois State Police arrested Jose Luis Jimenez, Jose Garcia-Cavazos, Raquel Sanchez and Albertico Rosaldo DeJesus on marijuana charges.

Garcia-Cavazos and Sanchez are from Mission while Jimendez is from Chicago and DeJesus is from Veracruz.

Illinois State Police made the arrests and seizures this past Thursday.

Authorities said it's part of an ongoing investigation that led them to an 18-wheeler at a warehouse in Franklin Park, Illinois.

That 18-wheeler allegedly had 117 bundles of marijuana hidden inside a shipment of grapefruit.

Authorities believe the marijuana is worth $9.39 million dollars.

All four remain in custody at the Cook County Jail.
