School zones, highways and residential streets are all typical places where the Speedzapper sniffs out speeders.

But now you can add a brand new location to the list of places “zapped.”

The alleyway north of Yucca Avenue in McAllen is the backdrop for this week’s call 4 action.

Dave Olsen said drivers speed way above the 10 mile per hour posted limit and use the road as a shortcut to either 6th or 2nd Streets despite the alley designed a “no thru traffic” zone by the city.

Click on the video link to see who gets zapped and how Olsen wants the city to better safeguard taxpayers in Action 4’s Ryan Wolf’s Streets of Speed weekly report.
