A Mission man is facing criminal charges after being arrested in a Chicago marijuana trafficking case.

Chicago police arrested Andres Piña on felony delivery and possession of marijuana charges earlier this week.

Piña allegedly delivered 670 pounds of marijuana $1.8 million dollars in a van to Jose Bazaldua.

Chicago police allegedly spotted the alleged delivery during a surveillance operation.

Officers allegedly found $6,000 dollars in cash inside Piña’s van.

Investigators said the two men are part of drug smuggling ring operating out of Mexico.
