A man accused of killing a McAllen teacher and featured on the Action 4 News "Fugitive Finder" has been arrested in Mexico.

Daniel Gilberto Perez was arrested Tuesday in Irapauto, Guanajuato on Tuesday.

An joint investigation between the U.S. Marshals and McAllen police reportedly lead to Perez’s capture.

Perez was wanted in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Summer Lee Meland of McAllen.

The murder occurred on September 27, 2008 at 304 W. Yucca McAllen. Meland was found shot to death in her bedroom.

Perez was recently featured on our Fugitive Finder series, a joint effort between Action 4 News, the U.S. Marshal and local police to catch wanted fugitives in the Rio Grande Valley.

This is the second successful arrest with the help of Fugitive Finder.
