Almost 100 pounds of marijuana is off the streets after customs officers find almost 100 pounds of marijuana hidden inside a car.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested Edwin Manuel Victoria-Garcia on Wednesday.

CBP officers at the Gateway International Bridge allegedly found 93.25 pounds of marijuana in the rocker panels and gas tank of his 2000 Ford Taurus.

Victoria-Garcia allegedly told customs officers that he was going to get paid $4,000 dollars to deliver the marijuana to Dallas.

The accused drug smuggler appeared before U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Ronald Morning in Brownsville on Friday morning.

Judge Morgan ordered that Victoria-Garcia remain in custody without bond until a hearing on Tuesday.

Good Thing!

Its a good thing that marijuana is off the streets. Just think of all the happy, non-violent, upstanding members of society who will have to go out now and look somewhere else for a substance that causes them, and everyone else, no harm. I shudder to think what may have happened if this had made it into the hands of people who would smoke it or ingest it then go out and buy snacks or harmlessly toil around the house, maybe watch a movie. Hats off to the brave men and women of law enforcement who have saved us yet again from this plague of euphoria. What a worthless action.
