Hidalgo County Commissioner Sylvia Handy and her husband are expected to be arraigned on new federal charges this morning. 

Handy and her husband Juan Gabriel Esprocenda are expected to be arraigned in McAllen's federal court at 10 a.m. Monday.

The Precinct 1 commissioner is accused of using a phantom employee to hire an illegal immigrant from mexico to provide housekeeping services at her home.

Handy and her husband are expected to plead not guity to the charges.

The FBI needs to make its way into Brownsville to start investigating the city and its departments.
