Border Patrol agents are looking for the driver of an ATV loaded with almost 600 pounds of marijuana in Starr County.

U.S. Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that they first spotted the ATV along the Rio Grande near the rural community of La Casita Thursday night.

The ATV was allegedly loaded with 25 bundles with 577 pounds of marijuana.

The driver allegedly escaped into the brush as Border Patrol agents approached.

Authorities continue to investigate and who owns the ATV but estimate that the marijuana is worth $461,4000 on the streets.

Lol @what we do. I doubt someone as nit witted as yourself would even be in such a career and if you are it's no wonder he got away lmao.

Winning that drug war

Posted by TYC TYC, TYC - Monday, November 23, 2009 at 8:39 a.m.

Yes, I guess you prohibitionists are winning the war on drugs. You have very persuasive arguments that make so much sense. I agree, there's almost no cannabis in the country now. I hear that California has nearly eradicated all cannabis. Only a matter of time before every cannabis plant is wiped off the face of the planet. Now, put your heads back in the sand and everything will be OK. Geez, I can't make this stuff up.

Lol Once Again...

Time to End Cannabis Prohibition

Posted by TYC TYC, USA - Friday, November 20, 2009 at 5:13 p.m.

It is well past time to end cannabis prohibition. You can't stop drug cartels from distributing it. Re-Legalize and regulate. Legitimate commerce will stop the drug cartels from having a very large source of funds.

If you can't keep cannabis out of a maximum security prison what makes you think that prohibition is working. Allow legitimate, regulated commerce and put the drug cartels in the poor house.
