Two Edcouch-Elsa High School students were arrested a brawl broke out during a pep rally for the girl’s volleyball team today.

EEISD Superintendent Frances Rocha said the school was placed into “lockdown” as a precaution when a student reported seeing a gun.

Rocha said that allegation turned out to be untrue.

Students were forced to eat in their classrooms until the lockdown was lifted later in the day.
