Action 4 news has learned that Elsa's police chief has resigned.
City officials told Action 4 News that he resigned about a week ago to accept a job with Hidalgo County.
They say they're happy for him and wish him all the luck in his new position.
Interim Chief Administrator Domingo Rodriguez has been called to take over the position.
