More than $3 million dollars worth of marijuana is off the streets after drug dealers allegedly abandoned it inside a Starr County shed.

U.S. Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that the illegal drugs were left inside a shed built along the Rio Grande in the rural community of La Casita.

Two Border Patrol agents allegedly spotted two suspicious men standing near the shed.

The two men fled but Border Patrol agents allegedly noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from the shed.

Authorities found 60 large bundles with 3,762 pounds of marijuana worth $3 million dollars inside.

The case was turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
