The National Weather Service in Brownsville is reporting winds as high at 35 mph across much of the Rio Grande Valley.
Action 4 News has posted RAW VIDEO of a sandstorm that hit the U.S. Highway 281 and Canton Road area of Edinburg late Wednesday morning.
Darren Haynes was on the scene and brought both a raw video of the sand storm and an interview.
Longtime Edinburg resident David Love told Action 4 News that the sandstorm happens every five years or so.
