Three men are behind bars for the alleged roles in the death of a McAllen man.

A tip led McAllen police to an apartment on the 600 block of East Hibiscus Street on Monday.

Investigators found the body of 47-year-old Ricardo Guerrero.

Autopsy results are pending but investigators consider his death a homicide.

An investigation led police to Roma resident Pedro Damian Rivera.

The 24-year-old man remains in custody under a $250,000 dollar bond for capital murder.

Police also arrested McAllen resident Jorge Luis Barrera, Jr. under a tampering with physical evidence charge in the case.

The 25-year-old McAllen man remains in custody under a $10,000 bond.

A third suspect identified as Pasadena resident Juan Manuel Sosa was also arrested at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge.

Customs officers said 21-year-old man was in a taxi headed into Mexico when authorities stopped it for a routine inspection.

A database check revealed that Sosa had eight arrest warrants, including the capital murder case in McAllen and auto theft in Rio Grande City.

Sosa remains in custody where he will be arraigned in McAllen and later Rio Grande City.
