A Rio Grande Valley woman suspected of trafficking illegal immigrants lead La Joya police on a wild chase Monday.

At times, speeds reached 116 miles per hour.

La Joya police said the driver initially ran a stop sign.

They said they tried to pull her over, but she wouldn't stop and the chase ensued.

Police later arrested the driver along with five undocumented immigrants.

Authorities have not released the woman's name, nor the identities of the illegal immigrants.
