A Weslaco woman turned 111 years young Friday.

The milestone for Juanita Alejandro has not gone unnoticed.

The City of Weslaco will hold a celebration in her honor at Weslaco City Hall at 11 a.m. Friday.

Alejandro has 52 grandchildren, 147 great grandchildren, 176 great-great grandchildren and 9 great-great-great grandchildren.
