Several viewers reported that the clinic was closing.
Administrators said Thursday that they are consolidating and have made a few layoffs, but they are not closing.
They explained their tactic as finding more innovative ways to cope with the struggling economy.
"For now, we are just looking at our overhead expenses so we can compete and provide health to the community for another 55 years," said CEO Gerald Preler.
Despite layoffs, Valley Diagnostic recruits new doctors everyday.
