McAllen's Hardwicke to be inducted into Texas Film Hall Of Fame

AUSTIN (AP) -- "Twilight" director and McAllen native Catherine Hardwicke will be inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame.

The Austin-American Statesman reported on Tuesday that Harwicke and others will be honored at a ceremony at Austin Studios on March 12.

Among the other natives are television icon and Fort Worth native Larry Hagman, who played JR Ewing in the popular 80s show Dallas.

Veteran character actor and Snyder native Powers Boothe will also be inducted into the Texas Film Hall Of Fame.

Hagman's award will be presented by his longtime "Dallas" co-star Linda Gray .

The event marks the ninth annual event, which raises money for the Austin Film Society.

Past inductees include Horton Foote , Cyd Charisse, Ethan Hawke and Farrah Fawcett.
