The Corpus-Christi Caller Times is reporting that residents of San Patricio County have been given a mandatory evacuation order for Hurricane Ike.

The newspaper reports that San Patricio County Judge Terry A. Simpson issued the order just moments ago.

San Patricio County is located just north of Corpus Christi and includes the towns of Sinton, Edroy, Portland, Gregory and Ingleside.

Hurricane Ike is expected be a Category 3 or 4 storm when it strikes between Corpus Christi and Houston.
