Boil water notice for several Valley communities

The Texas Department of State Health Services' Region 11 Office has issued a boil water notice at 1:30 p.m. Sunday for several Rio Grande Valley communities.

Test indicate that drinking water coming from the tap may not be safe in several areas affected by Hurricane Dolly.
 
Based on testing done by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and local water supply companies an official boil water notice is in effect for the following water utility districts until further notice:

1.       North Alamo Water Supply Corporation (Includes parts of Donna, Weslaco, Elsa, Edcouch and La Blanca)
2.       La Villa
3.       Laguna Madre Water Supply (includes South Padre Island, Military Highway WSC, only those served by Las Rusias Plant)
4.       Sebastian Municipal Utility District
5.       Lyford
6.       Primera
7.       Port Mansfield
8.       Santa Rosa

For further information, please contact your local water supply corporation.
