DPS troopers arrested a 20-year-old Alamo man on Wednesday morning.

According to DPS Trooper Johnny Hernandez, a DPS officer tried pulling over the male driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a traffic violation in La Joya.

The suspect, however, failed to stop, and proceeded to speed off eastbound on Expressway 83.

The chase ended in Palmview on Bentsen Palm Drive when the suspect’s vehicle got a flat tire.

Troopers immediately apprehended the male and found 400 pounds of marijuana inside the SUV.
