    Monday, February 21, 2011  With fewer than 50 ocelots thought to remain in Deep South Texas, the chance of seeing one in the wild is remote. However, this ocelot kitten estimated to be about four months old suddenly appeared late last year at a watering hole near the Visitors Center at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.

    Wednesday, February 09, 2011  Jody Mays emerges from the thorny chaparral at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge with one of the rarest cats in the Untied States. There are estimated to be fewer than 50 ocelots remaining in the country, and the only place they occur is Deep South Texas.
