A suspected murderer wanted in Travis County has been captured along the U.S./Mexico border.
U.S. Marshals Lonestar Task Force confirms Roy Rogers Soliz was captured on a warrant in Cameron County Thursday.
Sources told Action 4 News U.S. Border Patrol agents station in the Brownsville sector spotted a man swimming across the Rio Grande from Mexico to the United States and quickly apprehended him.
On Thursday night, authorities confirmed the man's identity, and learned a warrant was issued for the 58-year-old Pflugerville man on homicide charges.
Soliz is accused of shooting 38-year-old Christopher Carson in Austin back in January.
Carson was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The Travis County Sheriff's Department called the shooting a "random act of violence" and consider Soliz "dangerous."
Soliz is being detained at Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center in Olmito.
