A man accused of making death threats against Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño has turned himself in.

Gustavo Cruz-Lozano turned himself in at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge on Tuesday.

Cruz-Lozano arrived at the pedestrian lanes of the bridge right after taking a bus from Monterrey to Reynosa.

Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital due to an injury he had sustained while in Mexico.

According to CBP, Cruz-Lozano faces charges for making a terroristic threat against the sheriff back in October.

Cruz-Lozano allegedly said the sheriff was messing with the wrong drug dealer.
