The city of Edinburg is gearing up to hose a two day UFO Conference featuring renowned UFO lecturer and nuclear physicist, Stanton Friedman, who broke the story of the Roswell UFO crash.

Friedman will be joined by Travis Walton, whose UFO encounter inspired the movie "Fire in the Sky."

Last year a local resident reported seeing a huge object along the stretch of road near Moore Air Base in Edinburg.

The conference will also feature local UFO experts and authors Noe Torres, Dr. Robert Gross, Stephen Andrasko and Ismael Cuellar of Laredo, who will recount their research and personal encounters.

The Out of this World Conference kicks off Friday, March 15th at 9 a.m. at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance located at 118 Paseo Del Prado.

On Saturday, March 16th activities will be held at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard (415 West University Drive) starting at 5:00 p.m.

The two day event will also include music, food and a costume contest.

Tickets are available at the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and at the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library.
