A Donna family is assessing the damages after strong winds uprooted a large tree and then pushed it on top of their car and house.
It weather-related incident happened at a home on the 400 block of 7th Street in Donna around 5:35 a.m. Tuesday.
Jose Echevarria told Action 4 News that winds uprooted the decades-old tree and sent on his house and car.
The tree weighs thousands of pounds and could not be easily removed.
No injuries were reported but Echevarria has not been able to get to his car to fully assess the damage.
The Rio Grande Valley is expecting severe weather on Tuesday night and early Wednesdsay morning.
