High school students in Brownsville will soon be able to learn skills in a high-paying job before they graduate.

Texas Southmost College (TSC) is establishing a Career and Technical Education Academy in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology.

Brownsville ISD entered into a 20-year agreement with TSC to provide that training to high school students who enroll in the program.

Participating students will receive simultaneous college credit without tuition charge as part of this new Academy.

Those interested in the program are asked to contact their high school guidance counselor.
