Public health officials have confirmed that at least 100 Spring Breakers were hospitalized for drugs and other incidents last week.

Among the incidents, were 20 Spring Breakers treated for the consumption of a new drug combo called "Molly."

Investigators said the life-threatening cocktail was made up of ecstasy and other drugs.

The 100 Spring Breakers were hospitalized at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

Dr. Brian Smith with the Texas Department of State Health Services spoke to Action 4 News about the reports.

Smith said visiting college students on Spring Break made up the majority of those treated for the use of Molly, although other cases have been reported.

In the most severe case, Smith said CPR had to be performed to revive one patient.

Dr. Smith said Molly was not that common but this rash of cases brought it to light.
