Authorities are searching for two men involved in a Friday afternoon robbery.

The robbery happened at the Walmart off of Expressway 83 in Weslaco.

At around 3 p.m., a man was leaving the store with shoplifted items in his cart.

A woman store associate attempted to stop the man but he pushed the cart into her, making her fall to the ground.

According to police, a concerned citizen tried to help out the woman and got into a struggle with the male suspect.

A getaway car approached the front of the store, and in the process of picking up the suspect, police said the driver ran over the man’s hand.

The driver switched to the passenger seat and the suspect drove off.

Authorities said they were last seen in a brown, gold Nissan Xterra.

Action 4 News will provide updates on the suspect’s location as soon as it becomes available.
