Rio Hondo High School senior killed while hunting

Members of the Action 4 News team worked together to bring you this report.

Action 4 News has confirmed that a Rio Hondo High School student was killed over the weekend.

Rio Hondo ISD Superintendent Ann McMinn said she was contacted by the principal about the high school senior’s death.

Ricky Ramos Jr. was hunting when he was shot.

After he was shot, the student was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center. The 18-year-old died at the hospital.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become available from authorities.
