Cameron County is preparing to honor victims of violent crimes.

This is part of their annual Tree of Angels event, hosted by the district attorney's office. Surviving victims and families will have the chance to place an angel ornament in the Tree of Angels.

Jason Moody and Cindy Jilote explained more about this event on Action 4 Sunrise.

It will be held at the Cameron County Judicial Courthouse in Brownsville on Thursday, Dec. 6th at 5:30 p.m.
