Angels of Love is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide abused and neglected children of the Rio Grande Valley, an emergency shelter to help, treat and heal.

Vice Chairwoman of the organization, Amanda Garcia spoke more about their mission and how you can help.

The valley has over 4,000 children under the protection of the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, but not enough facilities to house, treat, counsel and heal these kids.

The McAllen Police Cycling Team and Angels of Love, will host the 2nd Annual Pedal Against Child Abuse bike ride and rodeo on Sat., Nov. 17. It is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. at the Municipal Park on Bicentennial Blvd. in McAllen. Race day registration begins at 6 a.m.
