Work crews are busy as bees with the grand opening of Harlingen's Bass Pro Shop right around the corner.

On Tuesday morning, a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crew swapped out a sign for the Dixieland Road exit to Expressway 83.

The new sign reads Tyler Avenue, Dixieland Road and Bass Pro Shop Drive.

At the Bass Pro Shop itself, the parking lot is full of vehicles from contractors and employees putting on the finishing touches to get the store ready.

The grand opening for the mega sporting goods store is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16th.

The event is FREE and features former Dallas Cowboys player Jay Novacek and other special guest appearances.
