Tuesday marks the 29th anniversary for the death of a 1950s rock n roll legend who spent the final years of his life in Harlingen.
Rocker Bill Haley formed the group Bill Haley & His Comets.
Haley is best known for his song "Rock Around The Clock", which was featured as the opening theme song for the TV series "Happy Days".
The rock n roll legend was born in Michigan on July 6th, 1925 but died in Harlingen on February 9th, 1981.
Haley continued to rock but was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1980.
A mural in downtown Harlingen commemorates Haley's contribution to rock n roll music.
