A 20-year-old woman was airlifted the hospital after she was stabbed in the chest Saturday morning.

EMS responded to the 2000 block of Corpus Christi Drive at 4 a.m.

The woman was found inside the house with the stab wound in her chest. Investigators believe she may have been stabbed in the front yard of the home due to blood stains in the yard.

Weslaco Police said another woman who lives at the home contacted authorities after she found the victim.

EMS responders had to breech a fence gate in order to get into the property.

A helicopter took the 20-year-old to McAllen Medical Center.

Her condition remains unknown at this time.

There is a list of potential suspects in this case.

Action 4 News will provide more details as the investigation unfolds.
