Holiday bargains will come early for shoppers south of the border.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon is continuing his “El Buen Fin” or “Good Weekend.”

Although not an official holiday, Calderon started “El Buen Fin” as a way to stimulate the Mexican economy in 2011.

This year, major stores across Mexico are slashing prices and offering big sales on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The holiday shopping period, coincides with the 20 de Noviembre or Mexican Revolution Day.

But “El Buen Fin” also lands just ahead of Thanksgiving and Black Friday, a major shopping day in the United States.
