Beer Bread
Makes 1 large loaf or 3 mini loaves
4 cups of flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 12 ounce can beer
1 egg
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Gently mix egg and beer and add to dry ingredients.
Put into a well-greased loaf pan or divide into mini loaf pans.
Bake at 360 degrees F till top is just beginning to brown, about 1 hour. Cool after removing from pans.
This is a moist bread. Also good toasted. Easier to slice when cool.
