Sausage Stuffed Squash

4 acorn squash, halved, seeds removed

1 pound of any type rolled sausage

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1/4 cup finely diced apple

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. dried parsley

1/2 tsp. dried thyme

Microwave squash halves in shallow baking dish until tender, about 4-6 minutes depending on wattage.  Slowly fry sausage until completely cooked but not browned. 

Add remaining ingredients and sauté lightly for 15-20 minutes.  Put sausage mixture into squash halves and microwave on medium about two minutes until well heated.  Serve warm.
