Broiled Parmesan Bread
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. room temperature butter/margarine/blend
2 tsp. onion or garlic powder
1 loaf white or wheat bread 1/2'' to 2/4'' slices, lightly toasted
Optional: 2 tsp. dill, parsley, oregano, basil
Mix mayonnaise, cheese, salt, butter, onion, or garlic powder and optional spice together till well-blended. Spread on lightly toasted bread. Put bread slices on baking sheet under the broiler (set on high) for a few minutes, till brown and fluffy on top. Especially good with Italian entrees, such as spaghetti, lasagna, etc. and salad.
