Construction continues along the Dixieland Road corridor in Harlingen where a Burlington Coat Factory is being built.

Company officials confirmed that a 70,000-square foot store is coming to the Harlingen Corners Shopping Center.

The new store, which will be located near Kohl's, Shoe Carnival and Chuck E. Cheese,  is expected to generate approximately 100 new jobs.

Like other stores, the Harlingen location will have coats dresses, suits, sportswear, accessories, menswear, family footwear and children’s clothing.

But it will also include furniture and accessories for babies at Baby Depot as well as home decor and gifts.

Founded in 1972, Burlington Coat Factory has grown to include more than 500 stores in 44 states and Puerto Rico.

With the addition of the Harlingen store, the company will have 48 locations in Texas.

Here in the Rio Grande Valley, Burlington Coat Factory already has stores in Brownsville, McAllen and Edinburg.
